Hello and welcome! My name is Brandon Morgan, and I research and write on the New Mexico-Chihuahua borderlands. I teach New Mexico History and Latin American History at Central New Mexico Community College and I teach courses on the Mexican Revolution online at Western New Mexico University. I'll add to this blog periodically, but I wanted to kick things off in order to provide a space for comments on the rest of the site. Please let me know what you think of the images and narrative I've posted thus far. I look forward to your comments.

I am doing some work on my family tree and am looking for my great-grandfather, Julio Cardenas. I have baptism and marriage records for him but nothing further. My great-grandmother immigrated to the US with my grandfather but not her husband. This is the family mystery. In Googling his name I found that there is a person with the same name that was an officer in Pancho Villa's army and was famously killed by General Patton. I need a way to investigate this person further and hoped you could help.

My grandfather Juan B Munoz was part of Villa's Columbus Day Historical event. I am interested in talking to you as I research his life. My email is [email protected]. My cell is 208 720 5069-I live in Northridge California.
